» The 22nd World Congress of Chinese Medicine was successfully held in Sydney, Australia

From 30 October to 1 November 2025, the 22nd World Congress of Chinese Medicine, a globally significant event for the TCM community, was successfully held in Sydney, Australia.

An 11-member delegation from the SCPA, led by President Dr. Goh Kia Seng, attended the event. The delegation comprised Deputy President Prof. Teo Eng Kiat, Vice President Chu I Ta, Secretary-General Teo Chun Yong, Deputy Secretary-General Ho Ming Gen, Council Member Huang Chun Xiang, along with members Shao Yung-Hsin, Er Chong Tian, Zhou Yan, Chen Yeh-Tung, and Executive Secretary Tin Pit Inn.

During the Opening Ceremony, a plaque presentation ceremony for the “International Cooperation Center for Clinical Research of Traditional Chinese Medicine” was held, where the Chairman of WFCMS, Prof. Ma Jianzhong, presented the plaque to Dr. Goh Kia Seng, President of the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association.

At the conference, President Dr.Goh Kia Seng delivered a keynote speech titled “TCM Pediatrics Stepping Towards the World,” sharing the direction and practical achievements of TCM pediatrics in its international development.

During the conference, the 4th Meeting of the 5th Council Board, Standing Council Board, and Supervisory Board of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) were also convened concurrently. The discussions covered topics such as the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), mechanisms for inter-association cooperation, and preparatory matters for the next congress.

During the council voting session, the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association was awarded the hosting rights for the 23rd World Congress of Chinese Medicine in 2026, signifying that Singapore will assume a more prominent role on the global stage of traditional Chinese medicine.

» The 15th China Quanzhou–Southeast Asia TCM Academic Symposium Successfully Concluded

The 15th China Quanzhou–Southeast Asia Traditional Chinese Medicine Academic Symposium was successfully held from October 18 to 19, 2025, at the Fliport Shiji Hotel in Jinjiang, Fujian Province. The symposium convened Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) experts and scholars from China and Southeast Asian countries for in-depth exchanges on the inheritance, innovation, and clinical applications of TCM.

On October 18, Professor Teo, Deputy President of the Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association (SCPA), led a delegation of 46 association members to participate in the event, further promoting academic exchange and cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine between China and Southeast Asia.

During the conference, Professor Teo delivered a keynote speech titled “Clinical Experience of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment in Hepatocellular Carcinoma”, sharing valuable clinical experience and research findings on TCM approaches to the prevention and treatment of liver cancer. His presentation was widely recognized and highly appreciated by participants.

» The 2025 WFAS International Acupuncture Academic Conference Successfully Concluded

The 2025 WFAS International Acupuncture Academic Conference was successfully held in Stockholm, Sweden, from September 18 to 22, under the theme “Acupuncture Medicine and Human Health.”

From September 22 to 25, the “Belt and Road Acupuncture Tour – Denmark Stop” was successfully held in Denmark.

The Singapore Chinese Physicians’ Association was represented by Vice President Mr. Kuo Tung Ho, Vice President Ms. Chen Beiqi, and Director Mr. Teo Yew Hwa.

» 14th ASEAN Congress of Traditional Chinese Medicine


On April 26, 2025, President Goh Kia Seng led a delegation of 40 members to the Wyndham Acmar Klang Hotel to attend the 14th ASEAN Traditional Chinese Medicine Academic Conference.

At this conference, Professor Teo Eng Kiat, Deputy President, delivered a report entitled “Strategies of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Prevention and Treatment of Tumors”, providing an in-depth explanation of TCM approaches, clinical experience, and commonly used medicines in tumor prevention and treatment.

The conference was attended by approximately 400 participants.
