About Us


The Singapore Chinese Physician's Association (SCPA) was formed on 27 October 1946 with a current membership of 1161.

The objectives of the SCPA are:
•  To do research on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
•  To cultivate qualified TCM practitioners.
•  To expound and propagate the principles of medical science.
•  To raise the standard of medical treatment and to develop free medical services so as to contribute to our community.
•  To promote fellowship among Chinese physicians and to protect their general interests.

The following organizations are under the umbrella of SCPA:
•  Chung Hwa Medical Institute.
•  College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
  •  Chinese Medical & Drugs Research Institute.
  •  Acupuncture Research Institute.

As a whole,These four organizations complement each other in the areas of healthcare, education, research and development.

SPCA TCM library is also the biggest TCM library in South East Asia.It has a collection of about 10,000 books and 200 types of periodicals and magazines.
