
The Singapore Chinese Physician's Association (SCPA) was formed on 27 October 1946 with a current membership of 1161.
The objectives of the SCPA are:
To do research on Traditional Chinese Medicine.
To cultivate qualified TCM practitioners.
To expound and propagate the principles of medical science.
To raise the standard of medical treatment and to develop free medical services so as to contribute to our community.
To promote fellowship among Chinese physicians and to protect their general interests.
The following organizations are under the umbrella of SCPA:
Chung Hwa Medical Institute.
College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Chinese Medical & Drugs Research Institute.
Acupuncture Research Institute.
As a whole,These four organizations complement each other in the areas of healthcare, education, research and development.
SPCA TCM library is also the biggest TCM library in South East Asia.It has a collection of about 10,000 books and 200 types of periodicals and magazines.
